All calculations on BMITool.org run entirely in your web browser. Your height, weight, age, gender, and any other inputs you enter into our calculators are processed locally using JavaScript. They are never transmitted to our servers, never stored in our databases, and never seen by us.
Some tools save your calculation history using your browser’s localStorage feature. This data stays on your device and can be cleared at any time through your browser settings. We have no ability to access this data.
We use privacy-focused analytics (Plausible or similar) that does not use cookies, does not track individual users across sites, and does not collect personal identifiers. We only see aggregate data like page views and referrers.
We may display generic banner advertisements. Because we do not collect personal data, these ads are not targeted based on your health information or browsing behavior. Ad networks may use their own cookies subject to their own policies.
Articles may link to external sources, studies, or products. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. We recommend reviewing their policies before submitting any data.
We may update this policy occasionally. Significant changes will be noted with a new “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
